BONNIE PINK makes a short movie

In celebration of singer-songwriter BONNIE PINK’s (37) 15th anniversary in entertainment, she’ll be making a short movie called “Furarera”. She’ll be teaming up with five famous video editors (Takeuchi Tetsuro, Shindo Mitsuo, Mori Ryoichi, Yanai Michiko, and Kakimoto Kensaku) to make her project possible. Each director handles one segment of the short movie, which is divided in five and lasts around 15-20 minutes.

The movie will revolve around a woman played by Sato Eriko (28), and it’s about her character showing her life experiences in five different ages – when she was 19, 23, 28, 30, and 40. It has been said that BONNIE PINK and Sato have always been good friends ever since the day they went drinking together two years ago, so it was natural that they would collaborate eventually if the opportunity presented itself. Other cast members for the movie include Tsurumi Shingo (45) and Bananaman’s Himura Yuki (38).

Of course, the movie will also use BONNIE PINK’s music, and her upcoming single “Kite” (released on 09.22) will be used as the theme song of the movie. “Kite” will also appear on the singer’s upcoming album, “Dear Diary”, which is set to be released on October 6. Other carefully picked song such as “A Perfect Sky” will be inserted in the film as well.

You can watch “Furarera” through a special website for a limited time starting October 6. I’ll make an update here when the website becomes available.
